Con le nominations agli 82. Golden Globes la stagione dei premi entra finalmente nel vivo! Al solito, è un po' troppo presto per formulare giudizi dato che molte pellicole non sono ancora uscite in Italia, ma queste candidature sono molto utili per farci un'idea dell'annata cinematografica appena trascorsa. La notizia più importante per noi italiani è senz'altro la presenza di Vermiglio nella sestina dei film stranieri, ma ci fanno molto piacere anche le tante segnalazioni per due film importanti e a loro modo difficili come The Brutalist e Anora, così come per il francese Emilia Pérez che si avvia a diventare il caso cinematografico dell'anno. E poi ci sono, come sempre, quelle candidature al limite del surreale (vedi quella per The Substance nella categoria commedia/musical!) ma anche questo, nel bene e nel male, fa parte del gioco! Ci sono poi anche le stranezze tipiche dei Globes, a cui siamo ormai abituati ma ogni volta non possono non farci strabuzzare gli occhi: a cominciare dall'inopinata presenza di The Substance nella categoria commedia/musical (!), così come le candidature surreali di Pamela Anderson (!), di Demi Moore e Margaret Qualley (sempre per The Substance, sic!) e di Denzel Washington come non protagonista per Il Gladiatore II (è tutto dire). Sorprendente invece (ma ci fa molto piacere) la nominaton alla "nostra" Isabella Rossellini in Conclave: la più celebre tra le figlie d'arti non veniva candidata addirittura dal 1997!
Per ora ci fermiamo qui. Come "antipasto" comunque è più che valido. Adesso aspettiamo di vedere anche un altro po' di film mancanti e poi saremo pronti a tuffarci come ogni anno nella Award Season. Stay tuned!

Ho visto Vermiglio, e sicuramente è un bel film, ma gli ho trovato anche alcuni difetti e non mi ha colpito come "capolavoro da Oscar". Però non ho visto nessuno degli altri film candidati, magari tra tutti se lo merita davvero, vedremo.
